As you all probably know, all four New York Appellate Division Justices have proposed changes to the lawyer advertising rules for New York (Nicole over at Sui Generis provides extensive coverage of the issue here). Professor Jim Milles of Buffalo Wings and Toasted Ravioli graciously hosted a podcast on three blawgers interpretation of the proposed changes and their reaction to them (listen to podcast here by clicking on the Pickle Player).
I participated in the podcast, as well as fellow, favorite blawgers Bill Altreuter of Outside Counsel and Nicole Black of Sui Generis. The discussion is a lively one and raises issues about the interplay of these rules and blogging attorneys, as well as First Amendment issues.
Perhaps the oddest thing I encountered in participating the podcast was actually hearing Jim's, Nicole's, and Bill's voices. I have read their blawgs for awhile now, but have not met them. Therefore, it was interesting to put a voice to the face and words I have encountered through reading the blawgs. Perhaps you will have the same experience hearing my voice and accent.
Thank you to Jim for asking me to participate and organizing and facilitating a great discussion.
