Last week, a Supreme Court Justice dismissed charges against New Paltz Mayor Jason West, essentially reasoning that a ban on same-sex marriage was irrational (read news story in Reuters here). Perhaps, that's older news, but the most recent addition to the same-sex discussion includes my hometown, Albany, New York. This news summary on Capital 9 News states that two couples who were married in March but were denied marriage licenses by the Albany City Clerk, have commenced actions against the City of Albany and the state Department of Health.
